Before we share the lineups, we must state the necessary truth: As we gather in Krater to listen peacefully, the apartheid state of Israel is enacting a policy of collective starvation against the Palestinian people in Gaza. This deliberate strategy of genocide, further enabled by Western support and corporate profit, demands our unwavering resistance.
In solidarity with all oppressed peoples worldwide, we believe creative spaces must also be spaces of resistance. Art must be a language of defiance against silence and complicity.
By gathering to listen, we build collective strength. Therefore, 100% OF ENTRY DONATIONS from all 3 Exploratorium events this autumn will be sent to GAZA SOUP KITCHEN, a Palestinian-led grassroots initiative working to build food sovereignty and feed their community in the face of Israel’s engineered famine and cold-blooded genocide. We foster interspecies connection and sound ecology as a core practice in our activities. In a time of pervasive sensory noise and cultural erasure, we create a sanctuary for attuning to the subtleties of the more-than-human world. Our act is grounded in exploring the symbiosis between soundscape and landscape, using site-specific performances, electro-acoustic improvisation, and auditory travelogues to investigate how human creativity can respectfully intertwine with natural microcosms. Our gatherings are an invitation to immerse in the sonic environment completely, engaging with listening as a form of collective care to cultivate a heightened collective, ecological and political consciousness.
